Claim to fame: Service on the nation’s largest 3G network (thanks to their purchase of Alltel), with mobile to mobile to the nation’s largest mobile to mobile community (thanks to their purchase of Alltel)…over 80 million strong!

Overview: Known as the most reliable wireless network, Verizon Wireless Prepaid recently changed up their plans and are now offering three (3) different plans that include daily access fees ranging from $.99 to $3.99 (only charged on days used). All three plans give you unlimited mobile-to-mobile to any of the 80 million Verizon Wireless customers. You can also go with a straight pay-as-you-go plan at $.25 per minute. For those teenagers and youngsters that like to text there is an unlimited text message bundle for just $20 per month.

Pros: If you are looking for a quality network then Verizon could be as good as it gets. Highly recommended, if you will be making the majority of your calls to other Verizon customers. The unlimited text plan for $20 per month is a good deal. The prepaid phones are priced right, but there is a slim selection

Cons: The plans are relatively more expensive than the competition and you don’t get a lot of features for the $.99 daily access fee. The unlimited calling plan for $3.99 per day is certainly not what we would call a good deal.

Recommended: Verizon is known for reliability with their very famous campaign slogan “Can you hear me now? If you have a lot of friends and family also on the Verizon network that’s a big plus.
