Claim to fame: “Where You At”, their old-time slogan, was due to Boost being the only prepaid carrier to have GPS and nationwide walkie-talkie service on all their phones. If you’re looking for instant connections with friends, this provider is great. They also have the nation’s cheapest nationwide unlimited-everything plan: $50, with no extra taxes or fees.

Overview: Boost Mobile has turned some heads with one of the hottest prepaid offering in market today.  Their $50 unlimited talk, text, walkie-talkie and data web plan is priced lower than any postpaid or prepaid wireless plan. With more consumers now being cost conscience about their monthly wireless spend, this new plan has taken the market by storm.

If you are someone that likes to talk and text on their mobile phone and are looking for real value and monthly cost savings, then this can very well be your plan.  For those that don’t need that much talk or text time or have a lower budget, Boost Mobile also offers a simple $.10 a minute talk or text pay-as-you-go plan and a $1 per day plan that gets you unlimited text, mobile-to-mobile and unlimited nights and weekends along with the standard $.10 per minute.

Boost Mobile offers a quality line of handsets starting at $49.99.  If you are looking for a higher end phone then the Motorola i9 and the i465 are two high packed feature phones. While the phones are a bit pricey, you’ll soon forget cost when you add up the yearly savings you get with their $50 Unlimited Plan

Pros: Boost Mobile offers several different plans designed to fit all types of customers calling needs and monthly budget. The $50 unlimited plan is probably the best deal in wireless today if you are looking for an unlimited plan, especially one with no contact or credit check.

Cons: The web access is 2G and much slower than many of their 3G competitors. There has also been some issues with slow text deliveries, but that has supposedly been fixed and addressed.

Recommended: These plans fit across all types of users. It’s hard to beat the $50 Unlimited when you compare it to the competition. The $1 a day plan can be perfect for the teenager that likes to text and talk on the weekends and even better if their friends and family members are on Boost Mobile also. Good plan for those customers that expect to only use 50-100 minutes each month, since all airtime refills come with a 90-day expiration
